Well this should be fun...
We're heading straight into a post-tropical storm here; it should be about seven hours long, and we may lose power. Woohoo! At least I finished my grading.

Hey! Yeah, it was fine - just a lot of rain and lightning and an insane amount of wind. Seriously, the wind was just nuts; it sounded like somebody screaming, and at about three in the morning it was so bad that my bed was vibrating (it would have been a fantastic time to watch an action movie - you can feel the explosions!). The power was only out for about six hours total where I was, though, so it wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been. :)

Duuuude o.O Not a good time to watch Amityville horror though by the sound of it! Glad you're OK.

Either that, or the best time ever to watch it. Although probably not for me, as I am a coward, and would then never sleep again. ;)

I watched The Shining on my own in the dark once.

And y'know, you'd THINK considering I write horror for a vocation I'd be cool with that but my WORD am I a wuss when I'm on my own in a house!

*Nodnods* I think most people feel that way, even if they really do enjoy horror. I once watched "The Exorcist" at about two in the morning, alone in my house; I was laughing my ass off about the pea soup, when there was a sudden power outage, and the movie became much, much less funny. *Cowers* ;p

Hehe, I can imagine o.O!

I saw it first at midnight on Halloween in a cinema. Sadly, the vast numbers of laughing drunk people kind've killed the scary atmosphere :o\

Aw, man - I hate it when people screw things like that up by refusing to suspend their disbelief and actually get a bit freaked out. *Glares at them*
